As you may be aware, your child will be assessed during the week beginning 12th May 2025 as part of the End of Key Stage 2 Assessment process (SATs). It is essential that you do not book holidays during that week or in the months leading up to the assessments. This academic year is extremely important in preparing your child for the tests and transition to High school. Therefore, it is essential that your child is in school every day unless he/she has a sickness virus.

From the week beginning 13th January there will be booster classes for Maths in preparation for SATs. Booster classes will be held on a Monday straight after school until 4pm. Your child will be taught by Miss Embleton, Mr Fadden and Miss Woodcock.

This free, extra tuition is held in small sized groups and will definitely benefit your child in revising for the SATs as well as supporting their overall learning. The sessions will be specifically targeted to the needs of the children in the group and children of all abilities will be offered the opportunity to attend.
