School Uniform

We believe that a standard form of school dress or uniform is important, in that it helps to give children a sense of belonging to the school. Looking smart in a distinctive uniform can play its part in maintaining high standards of work and behaviour and we would ask all parents to support us on this matter when planning the purchase of children’s clothing.

Our school uniform is:

  • Plain white polo shirt or white shirt with a collar.
  • Official purple school jumper or cardigan with the school logo (ordered through Emblematic).
  • Plain grey/black trousers or skirt.
  • Black ‘school’ shoes or plain black trainers. Coloured trainers or trainers with logos and different coloured soles are NOT permitted.
  • Black plimsolls for inside school and for indoor PE lessons

School uniform is ordered online through our uniform supplier, Emblematic.

Black plimsolls can be purchased from the school office at the current price of £3.00

School Uniform Expectations

We expect our children to wear their full school uniform every day, including the correct footwear for indoors and outdoors. We discourage our children from wearing jewellery for safety reasons. However, one pair of stud earrings is allowed, plus a watch (not a SMART watch). We do not allow children to come to school wearing make up (including body make up eg fake tan), nail varnish (including 'gel' nails, 'acrylic nails' or any type of artificial nail extension), temporary skin tattoos or body piercings.

PE kit

In order to ensure that the children can fully participate in PE it is essential that they have the correct kit:

  • Plain black PE shorts
  • Plain white t-shirt (or optional school logo PE t-shirts which can be ordered through Emblematic)
  • Plain trainers
  • Tracksuit/jogging top and bottoms (plain as possible)

Please note: Pupils are not permitted to wear Club Strips for PE, for example, football shirts.

Children should come to school dressed in their school PE kit on PE days (usually twice a week). This allows for full use of lesson time to teach PE and to avoid having to allocate time within the lesson for changing into kit and then back into uniform at the end of the lesson.

Uniform Exchange

We operate a ‘Uniform Exchange’ whereby grown out items of children’s clothing can be donated to school (as long as they are in reasonable condition) and will be placed on the clothing rail in the main entrance. Donations such as shoes, coats, trousers, fleeces, polo shirts and PE shorts are always gratefully received. Parents are free to help themselves to items.

If any parent is experiencing difficulty in buying school clothing items, including outdoor clothing and footwear, please contact the school office and we will be able to help you, maintaining confidentiality.
